The game crashed shortly after midnight and unfortunately I was not aware of it until the morning. The most recent backup was from yesterday at 3pm ET. Until this bug has been tracked down, the backup frequency has been increased to once every 6 hours, instead of 12.

The game was stuck in a loop and could not be brought down in an organized fashion that would have allowed it to restart without time loss. That is to say, we had to bring it back up from the previous backup, early this morning. Our apologies for the inconvenience.

Global Maintenance Window

On Monday, June 28, we will be applying software updates on ALL machines. The more active machines will be dealt with earlier in the day when possible but all machines (games, forums, Skotos UserDB) will be affected. The window will be between 9am and 4pm Eastern (6am and 1pm Pacific).

Good news, in a way. It turned out the game was still running but locked up in a loop. I was able to bring it down gently and restart it without lost time. Carry on!

Lagging UserDB is lagging. Rebooting it with altered configuration to fix this. Cross your fingers that this will do the trick.

Looks like a software crash and we will have to roll back to the 3 AM (Eastern) backup. Expect to have the game back up as such in a few minutes.
